Living with fibromyalgia isn’t easy. It’s a chronic condition that brings widespread pain, tenderness, fatigue, brain fog, and poor sleep. For years, I struggled to find ways to move my body without triggering flare-ups. Exercise often felt like the enemy—until I discovered the power of lifting weights and, more recently, whole body vibration.

My Journey with Fibromyalgia 🟣

When I was first diagnosed, the fatigue and pain felt overwhelming. Some days, even simple tasks drained me. But I refused to let fibro define me. Step by step, I learned that strength training wasn’t just about building muscle—it was about reclaiming my life.

Lifting weights gave me back control. Every squat, every deadlift, every press became a reminder that my body was still capable of incredible things. Strength training helped me fight stiffness, boosted my energy, and gave me confidence. It became my therapy, my outlet, and my proof that fibro couldn’t take away my power.

Exploring Whole Body Vibration

While weightlifting has been my anchor, I’m always looking for tools that can help women with fibro move safely. That’s why I was excited to see the results of a small study using T-Zone oscillating vibration machines.

Partnering with Tami Stackelhouse, founder of the International Fibromyalgia Coaching Institute and host of the Fibromyalgia Podcast®, researchers asked 9 participants to track their symptoms before and after using the vibration machine.

The focus was on three key symptoms:

• Fatigue

• Stiffness

• Pain

The Results 📊

The improvements were almost immediate:

• Fatigue: 17.7% decrease

• Stiffness: 32% decrease

• Pain: 18.7% decrease

• Average time: 5.5 minutes

• Effort: Standing, low speed

Even short sessions—sometimes just one minute—made a difference. For people who often struggle to tolerate traditional exercise, this was huge.

Why This Matters for Us

Fibromyalgia makes movement complicated, but it doesn’t make it impossible. Oscillating vibration is gentle, accessible, and effective. Combined with strength training, it offers another way to fight back against pain and fatigue.

For me, lifting weights is my daily act of resistance against fibro. It keeps me strong, grounded, and empowered. Adding vibration therapy could be another tool in the toolbox—especially for women who are just starting their journey and need something approachable.

The Bigger Picture

Even if you don’t have fibromyalgia, these benefits may apply to you too. Just a few minutes of vibration can help with energy, recovery, and everyday aches. And if you’re living with fibro, know this: movement is possible. Whether it’s lifting weights, standing on a vibration plate, or simply walking, every step counts.

Final Thoughts

Fibromyalgia may be part of my story, but it’s not the ending. Strength training gave me back my life, and now I’m excited to see how vibration therapy can help more women find relief.
